Frequently asked questions

1. What services do you offer?
We now specialise solely in MOT testing. We no longer carry out repairs or servicing, which means you can trust us for an honest, unbiased MOT.

2. How do I book an MOT?
Booking is quick and easy. Simply click the ‘Click Here To Book Your MOT’ link on our website, select a date and time that works for you, and enter your vehicle and contact details. Once confirmed, you’ll receive an email confirmation with all the information you need.

3. How do I book a retest?
This is done by calling us to arrange a retest. Do not use the online booking system which is just for MOT testing only

4. How can I change or cancel my booking?
If you need to change or cancel your booking, open the confirmation email you received after booking. It contains a link where you can reschedule to a new date or cancel your appointment. Please try to do this at least 24 hours in advance so we can make the slot available to someone else.

5. How long does an MOT take?
Most MOTs take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. You’re welcome to wait in our reception area, or return once your vehicle is ready.

6. What do I need to bring with me?
If this is your first MOT with us, please bring your vehicle logbook (V5C). Make sure your car is reasonably clean and roadworthy before the test.

7. Can I wait while the MOT is being carried out?
Yes - we have a waiting area, or you can drop your vehicle off and collect it later.

8. What happens if my vehicle fails the MOT?
We do not carry out repairs. If your vehicle fails, we will provide a failure report. You can then take the car to a repair garage of your choice, and bring it back for a free retest within 10 working days.

9. Do you send reminders for my next MOT?
Yes — we can remind you when your next MOT is due so you never miss the date.

10. How do I pay?
Payment is made at the garage after your MOT, by card or cash.
